Introduction

SEGGER Flasher ATE2

SEGGER's Flasher ATE2 is SEGGER's all-in-one solution for gang-programming.

The Flasher ATE2 embeds 8 fully independent modules serving as individual channels for parallel, high-speed gang-programming. If required, each channel can be configured to program a different device with a different firmware image.

The Flasher modules are set up just once per channel configuration using SEGGER's Flasher Software Package. The software to be used depends on the type of flash chip being programmed. The Flasher ATE2 can receive commands and send results via the ASCII terminal interface "stand-alone", without the need of a desktop PC. The use of a single Flasher ATE2 with its 8 integrated Flasher modules is the perfect solution for high-volume mass production.

The Flasher ATE2 supports the same target devices and programming interfaces as the SEGGER Flasher PRO and Flasher Compact series of programmers. Therefore, the Flasher ATE2 takes advantage of the extensive list of supported devices and target interfaces with ultra-fast programming speed and reliability. ATE connector

The ATE connector provides all signals required for controlling a Flasher ATE2 remotely in an ATE setup:

  • nSTART_IN, nBSY_OUT, OK_OUT: Combined control/status signals of all 8 programming channels
  • TX/RX: UART connection (RS-232 signal levels i.e. +/- 3..15 V)
  • *-KEY: Input that starts the programming of the respective channel when set high
  • nMSD: Can be pulled low during power up to enter MSD mode of Flasher ATE2 (e.g. for firmware upload on system failure)
