dsPIC33CKxxxMCxxx
The Microchip dsPIC33CKxxxMCxxx family features a high-performance 16-bit Digital Signal Controller (DSC) core based on a modified Harvard architecture. This architecture provides separate program and data memory buses, enabling simultaneous instruction fetching and data access to improve processing efficiency. Combined with dedicated Digital Signal Processing (DSP) instructions, single-cycle multiply-accumulate (MAC) operations, and high-speed peripherals, the dsPIC33CK32MC102 family is well suited for real-time control applications such as motor control, digital power conversion, and industrial automation. The devices operate at up to 100 MIPS and integrate peripherals including high-resolution PWM modules, a 12-bit 3.5 MSPS ADC, DMA, and configurable logic, providing a compact and efficient platform for embedded control systems.

Device specific handling
Connect
The device supports an enhanced ICSP (EICSP) mode which accelerates the programming speed significantly. This option is selected by default. During the connect sequence the presence of "Remote In-Circuit Programming Executive" (RIPE) is checked. If it is not present, it is automatically loaded into the device. It is possible to force a new writing of the RIPE using the option "Force writing the programming executive".
Reset
The device is reset via MCLR pin.
Security
The device can be protected using the 'Config word'.
Limitations
OTP memory area
The device has an OTP memory area that can be used, for example, to store calibration data, serial numbers, and other manufacturer identifiers.
Please keep in mind that this area can only be written once and cannot be erased.
Supply voltage
The dsPIC33CKxxxMCxxx device family must be powered by 3.3V. If the 5V Flasher output is used as a power supply, then an appropriate voltage regulator must be used.

Device configuration
Due to the extensive configuration options, only one configuration based on data provided by the HEX file is supported.
If there is no configuration data in the HEX file, the old configuration data will be retained.
A "Bulk erase" erases all configuration data.
Troubleshooting
Device ID does not match
At the start of the programming process, the Flasher attempts to connect to the device and read its device ID. Each PIC device has a unique ID.
If a device ID error occurs, there may be several possible causes.
To obtain detailed information on the error, increase the "VerboseOutput" level in the U-Flash configuration to at least "Detailed" and transfer the project to the Flasher again.
Device ID = 0000 or 3FFF
- There is a fault in the wiring
- The device is kept in reset by an external reset generator or watchdog
- The supply voltage is insufficient
Device ID is wrong
- The wrong device was selected in U-Flash
- There is another device on the board assembled
- The supply voltage is too low and/or the ICSP speed is too high
