Preparing for J-Link

There are several ways to power the board selected via J5:

  • EXT: Via the power jack X1 and an external power source
  • JLINK: Via the J-Link using the "Target Power Supply" feature
  • USBDEVICE: Via the USB connector X3
  • USBPWR1: Via the USB connector X5

After configuring power the J-Link is used as follows:

  • Connect the J-Link to the JTAG connector X13
  • Power on the board as described above
  • Verify the Connection with J-Link Commander. The output should look as follows:

Example Projects

Hello World

The following example project was created with the SEGGER Embedded Studio project wizard and runs out-of-the-box on the EFM32GG12. It outputs "Hello World!" to the Debug Terminal in a loop.
