Renesas RA6 Initialization

From SEGGER Knowledge Base
Jump to navigation Jump to search

Cortex-M33 based Renesas RA6M series devices can be initialized to get them into a known good state. SEGGER implemented support for this feature via a dedicated utility called Device Provisioner. For more information about this, please refer to the Device Provisioner article. The Renesas RA6 initialization feature is implemented in the PCode_DevPro_Renesas_RA8_Initialization.pex script file.

Important Notes

  • The initialize command can only be sent over UART. J-Link configures TDI (pin 5) as TX and TDO (pin 13) as RX. When connecting to an RA6 evaluation board through a Cortex-M debug header, these pins are connected to the devices RX and TX.

Usage

DevPro -operation [operation_name] -if SWD -speed 4000 [-SetConfigVal parameter_name=value] -ScriptFile PCode_DevPro_Renesas_RA6_Initialization.pex

Operation Parameters Values Description
Initialize - - Initializes the device.
