The Micro Crystal RV-3028-C7 is an extreme low power real-time clock module with an I²C-Bus interface.
Flash Banks
| Flash bank | Base address | Size |
|---|---|---|
| RAM | 0x0000 | 33 Bytes |
| User EEPROM | 0x0100 | 43 Bytes |
| Configuration EEPROM | 0x0130 | 8 Bytes |
Security
The device has an 8 byte password register. If the device needs to be unlocked, there is the option "Set Password" (requires extended view) in U-Flash.
Best Practices
It is not possible to stop the internal 1Hz tick which updates the RAM registers. In order to avoid conflicts during writing
the internal RAM, there is the option "Synchronize to tick". This option delays the start of programming until the next tick.
As the whole memory can typically be written and verified within less than a second (I²C clock should be at least 100kHz), this ensures consistency.
Synchronization is not needed, if the clock registers are not written.
