Flasher Terminal is a command line application which can be used to communicate with a Flasher over the ASCII Command Interface.
It is part of the Flasher software package.
Usage
Selecting a Flasher
When starting Flasher Terminal, it automatically detects connected Flashers and selects a connection method based on availability.
- If exactly one Flasher is connected via USB, Flasher Terminal will automatically connect to it.
- If multiple Flashers are connected via USB, the user will be prompted to select one of them.
- If no Flashers are connected via USB, Flasher Terminal will scan the local network for available Flashers and displays them for selection.
Communicating with the Flasher
After the connection to the Flasher is established, it is possible to send commands to the Flasher and receive the Flasher's replies.
Note:
There is no command to close Flasher Terminal. Instead it can be closed by pressing ctrl + c.

Limitations
- If the connection to the Flasher is interrupted or the wrong Flasher was selected, Flasher Terminal has to be restarted.
- It is not possible to use multiple instances of Flasher Terminal connected to the same Flasher.
- It is not possible to use Flasher Terminal while the same Flasher is connected in [UM08037_UFlash|U-Flash].
- Flasher Terminal only supports Flashers starting from hardware version 5 and onward.
