Flasher Hub - Offline operation

Flasher Hub can be operated fully offline without the need for any network connections, not even a LAN.

Background

Operating Flasher Hub fully offline can be favorable in production environments as some IT departments consider a network connection (even LAN) to be a security concern.

Usage

For offline operation of Flasher Hub, the following aspects need to be considered.

Web server

Flasher Hub's web server is useful for configuring, monitoring and even controlling Flasher Hub as well as individual modules.
The web server can be accessed without any network connection by making use of the Flasher USB Web Server.

Terminal

The Flasher Hub terminal allows to use the ASCII command protocol to send commands to and receive responses from Flasher Hub.
This is especially useful for automation. The terminal is available on a variety of interfaces, some of which are fully offline, such as:

• RS232
• VCOM
• Web server (when operated via USB, as explained above)
