RAM

In order to prevent errors when reading first time, the J-Link software intialises the first 4KB of RAM starting at 0x20000000.
Due to this attaching to a running system is not possible.

Watchdog handling

  • The device has a watchdog.
  • The watchdog is fed during flash programming.

Device specific handling

Reset

  • The device uses normal Cortex-M reset, no special handling necessary, like described here.

Attach

Attach is a debugging feature which exclusively applies to J-Link and J-Trace and does not apply to Flasher.

  • Attach is not supported by default because the J-Link initializes certain RAM regions by default.
