CVA CHIP CVM010x Security

CVA CHIP CVM010x unlocking and mass erase features are supported by Device Provisioner commandline tool. In order to use it, PCode_DevPro_CVA_CHIP_CVM010x_Security.pex script file must be specified as a comandline argument.

Important notes

• Make sure to program the info region options after executing the MassErase or Unlock command. Leaving the device in an unprogrammed state could enable flash write protection and device protection.
• If flash mass erase is disabled (MEEN bits in the FTFC_FSEC register), the device cannot be unlocked using the external erase command.

Usage

DevPro -operation [operation_name] -if SWD -speed 4000 [-SetConfigVal parameter_name=value] -ScriptFile PCode_DevPro_CVA_CHIP_CVM010x_Security.pex

Operation	Description
Unlock	Performs External erase command.
MassErase	Performs Erase all blocks command.

Detailed description

Unlock

• Executes the external erase command, which erases all flash memories except info regions 2 and 3 and sets the SECURE attribute to unsecure.

Note:
If the device is reset or powered off after this command without reprogramming the security options, it may become locked.

MassErase

• Executes the erase all blocks command, which erases all flash memories except info regions 2 and 3 and leaves all attributes unchanged.
• If the SECPROT bit is set, the erase all blocks unsecure command is executed first to remove protection from info region 0.

Note:
If the device is reset or powered off after this command without reprogramming the security options, it may become locked.
