Some debug probes and flash programmers might refuse to power up when operated on an electronically marked USB type C cable. The USB type C host port will not detect the debug probe/flash programmer and therefor will not provide power to the port.

Electronically marked USB type C cables are typically used for cables with an increased current carrying capability beyond 3 A or for long cables that require signal enhancement by electronic parts built in the cable.

The debug probes and flash programmers will work correctly when operated on an USB type C port that always provides bus power.
The debug probes and flash programmers will work correctly when using an USB 2/3/4 type C cable that is not electronically marked.

Affected debug probes and flash programmers:

Device HW Version S/N
