TMS320
The supported TI TMS320 devices are C2000™ 32bit microcontrollers containing one or more C28x CPUs.
Limitations
TMS320 All devices
All TMS320 devices require a dedicated wake-up sequence if the device has entered low power mode (LPM) before it can be accessed via JTAG. This may occur if the image previously programmed to FLASH enters LPM by issuing an IDLE instruction and FLASH boot mode is selected. We have implemented a detection for this case and automatically issue a wake-up sequence. However, the implemented wake-up sequence might fail for cases where the devices re-enters LPM after wake-up.
Booting the device in EMU mode by setting TRST to high during reset is the safe and preferred alternative. We therefore recommend to connect the TRST line to the flasher to enable proper operation.
TMS320F2837XD
The implemented wake-up sequence does not work for TMS320F2837XD family devices. Currently only workaround is booting the device in EMU mode by setting TRST to high during reset. Therefore please ensure to connect the TRST line to the flasher to enable proper operation.
